Traditionally, the introduction periods take place in September and February, at the start of the new semester. The subscription for February 2023 is closed.
The past few years, the climbing sport is growing, and this growth is expected to continue. That means that we run a selection based on your forms and motivation. So, think carefully about what you fill in. You'll hear whether you are selected before the 22nd of February. You need to be able to show a dutch IT-certificate (or equivalent) to join. If you haven't heard from us by then, let us know as soon as possible (firstname.lastname@example.org), because something may have gone wrong with your sign-up. Hopefully we see you soon during our introactivity!
To be assigned to a mentor group, you need to fill in your phone number in the sign-up form. We strongly recommend this because it really helps to get to know people and become a part of the association, which makes the experience so much more fun. Your mentor can provide you with information about the introduction period and is the first person the contact if you have questions. You can of course also always send an email to the board with questions (email@example.com).
For the introduction period, the following dates are important:
|Sun 19 February (23:59)||Sign-up deadline||-|
|Sun 26 February (23:59)||Introduction day||Rijboulder|
|Tue 28 February (19:00)||Introductory training||Bongerd|
|Thu 2 March (19:00)||Subscription evening||Forum|
At the subscription evening, the board gives a talk with information about the association and provides help with meeting the requirements for membership. It is important to be present during these dates. If you really can not be present, you can send an email to the board.
What you need to do to become a member, is explained on the membership page. An overview of the requirements is included below:
IT certificate - Make sure you have an IT certificate before the subscription evening. You can let your IT certificate be approved at the subscription evening, or earlier by emailing a picture of your IT certificate to the board.
Annual student sports rights - Purchase annual student sports rights before the subscription evening. You can let your sports rights be approved at the subscription evening, or earlier by emailing your name and WBA number to the board (firstname.lastname@example.org). You can purchase annual student sports rights online or at the service desk in Sports Centre the Bongerd. If that doesn't work because you are a PhD student, you can send an email to the secretarial employee of the Bongerd (email@example.com). If you cannot manage to purchase annual student sports rights before the subscription deadline, let us know why that is at the subscription evening, or earlier by email.
Website account - Register on the website before the subscription evening. You can fill out your website account and let it be approved at the subscription evening, or earlier by filling out your account at home and asking for approval by email.
Membership form (direct debit form) - You can fill out, sign and hand in your membership form at the subscription evening, or earlier by emailing a picture of your completed and signed membership form to the board. You can download and print the membership form from the membership page, fill it out at home and take it to the subscription evening, but you can also get a form from us there.
